Saturday, 28 May 2022 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM EDT

Thank you to all of our new members and renewing members. We look forward to a great weekend and meeting.

8 years in the making - it’s the 8th Annual Meeting of the Members of Mohawk 4x4 Adventures, Inc - A 501(c)7 non-profit off-road club.

This club is dedicated to our mission -

“Our mission is to provide members with adventures in their dual purpose street and trail ready 4×4 vehicles with confident leadership and qualified education. We believe education will help members be better advocates of safety, recovery and driving techniques that will promote best practices on public and private properties and trail networks.  Our club will work to maintain trails and trail access on public and private property with cooperation of landowners and managers.”

This year's Mohawk 4x4 Adventures Annual Meeting was added to our calendar on our website in January, as required for a change of notice announcement in our bylaws. The schedule for 2022 was sent via email to every current member at that time. www.mohawk4x4adventures.com/calendar/

(Do you want the technical details about our bylaws?http://mohawk4x4adventures.com/about/bylaws/More specifically, here is the specific :  2.6.1  Notice of the time and place of an annual meeting of members shall be given by email or forum posting, at least ten days, and not more than fifty days, prior to the meeting, to each member of record entitled to vote at such meeting.)

The meeting will be held at Pennywise, outdoors, at 4 p.m. Bring a chair and if you want, an EZ Up style canopy or tarp - whatever will make you comfortable at the meeting in any weather. The meeting should be less than two hours long.  *There is no rain date at this time*.  Pennywise is a private property our club has established sustainable 4x4 trails on.  It is located in Loudon NH and easy to get to off Rt 93.  If you have not been there yet, it is HIGHLY recommended because it is "ours'' and it is fun.

Itinerary for the weekend -

  1. Meeting Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

    1. Set up your camping site, we should be wheeling by noon.

  2. Day time wheeling on the property from noon or before until about 3 or 3:30 pm.

  3. Meeting at 4 p.m.

  4. Usually there is a night run on site, probably after a “potluck’ style dinner.

  5. Sunday - Wheeling fairly rocky Class VI Rds about 35 minutes away.

  6. Back to camp and cleaning up no later than 6 p.m.

When you select your tickets, please select all that apply. This helps us figure out and keep track of who is coming and when.

We have awesome, sustainable trails we've made on this property ranging from Blue to Red trail ratings.  For more information about our club's use of trail ratings, click here: http://mohawk4x4adventures.com/calendar/trailratings/

We will have a port-a-potty on site for the weekend.  There is a donation button to help cover the costs.

We spent about $450 to repair and upgrade the bridge up there.  You can use the same donation button mentioned above, these donations will be put back into the general checking account.

Food - BRING YOUR OWN FOOD, but we will have the club's cast iron griddles available.  The fire pit is outstanding, another membership built and members donated materials to the property.  A great place for traditional s'mores and dogs.

E Mail Confirmation and final details notice - Your confirmation email will serve to get you there.  The agenda will be emailed separately and should be distributed to everyone in the club.

FAQs:

  • "What if I hate camping?"

    • There are 8 bunks in the old cabin, a couch and a wood stove. Bring a generator and there is electricity. There is a pad for a generator outside.

    • Select a cabin ticket to reserve a cabin bed.

  • "Is there trailer parking?"

    • Yes.  Depending on how many trailers we have, we may have to park some creatively but we've fit them all so far - and added room for more last year.  There is extra room elsewhere on the property.

  • "If my mailman or wife or kids or friends want to come as a guest, do I need a ticket for them?"

    • You do not need any tickets for any guests - but you do need a seat belt for every passenger going wheeling.

  • "How far away are restaurants, gas and big box stores?"

    • 5 to 10 minutes away, people usually don't even bother airing up.

  • "Are there showers?"

    • Negative (I run out for coffee and wash up in the restroom. It works for me.)

  • "Is there a hotel nearby?"

    • 5 minutes away - (this is not an endorsement - there are others, too)
